Spirulina 500mg – 500 tablets
Spirulina: Well-being and beauty from the primordial ocean
The botanic name of Spirulina means “small spiral”. Biologically speaking, spirulina is a bacterium of the species cyanobacteria. Up to the present day, spirulina is often wrongly called blue alga or blue-green alga. Unlike plants, bacteria don´t have a real nucleus.
Spirulina is an ideal nutrient supplier, which can activate the natural immune system, bind heavy metals and support the detoxification process. Because of its high chlorophyll content, spirulina is also able to bind body odour.
Science continues to recognize the importance of new vital substances. Nature has provided many of them from the beginning and they are especially concentrated in spirulina. It is primarily a good protein provider, because of its average protein content of 60%, including all essential amino acids. Spirulina also is a rich source of beta-carotene and contains ten times more than a carrot. The well-known B-vitamins (the rare B12 included) and vitamin E can also be found in the alga as well as magnesium, calcium, iron, potassium, zinc and the important trace elements selenium, chromium, lithium, manganese, germanium, copper and many more. Spirulina is rich in essential polyunsaturated fatty acids, such as gamma-linolenic acid, which promote a healthy and active metabolism.
