What is indole-3-carbinol?
Indole-3-carbinol is a metabolite of the mustard oil glycoside glucobrassicin, which can primarily be found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and kale. This means that indole-3-carbinol is an intermediate which forms during the breakdown of glucobrassicin in the body. The cruciferous vegetable broccoli is especially rich in indole-3-carbinol (I3C).
Optimised formula
The daily portion of 2 capsules now contains 500mg indole-3-carbinol as well as 500mg broccoli powder, which has been processed gently to preserve the valuable ingredients.Indole-3-carbinol smell
The smell of indole-3-carbinol is characteristic for sulphurous cruciferous vegetables. It is completely natural and does not affect the product quality. We refrain from using unnecessary additives to mask the smell and therefore it is possible that it is more or less distinct. The smell evaporates and becomes less strong when you remove the seal and keep the container open for some time.
