DIM 300mg plus D3 - 90 Capsules
What is DIM (diindolylmethane)?
This is a molecule that owes its name to its structural composition: two indole groups linked to a methane group.
It is produced in the metabolism during the digestion of the mustard oil indole-3-carbinol, a sulphurous compound called glucosinolates.
DIM in food
As an independent substance, DIM is not found in food, since it is only obtained from indole-3-carbinol in the human metabolism. This substance is naturally present in cruciferous vegetables such as Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, kohlrabi, white cabbage, kale and savoy cabbage.
Due to the heat sensitivity of I-3-C, it is recommended to eat the cruciferous vegetables as raw as possible, as the content can be reduced by about half during cooking. However, not everyone can tolerate raw vegetables, especially if they contain sulphur.
In this case, food supplements containing indole-3-carbinol or isolated DIM can be used.
