Arthro Active Pro - 90 capsules
Experience 5 unique natural remedies: Glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, hyaluronic acid and astaxanthin in one capsule
Joints have a natural buffer: the cartilage. Together with the synovial fluid (joint fluid), our joints remain flexible and movable. However, the older we become, the less synovial fluid is produced by the body.
Glucosamine
Glucosamine is an amino sugar, which occurs in the human organism and which is a component of the cartilages, which can be found in knees, elbows, shoulders or in other joints, synovial fluid and connective tissue.
Chondroitin
Chondroitin is a mixture of mucopolysaccharides (also: glycosaminoglycans), which are naturally found in cartilage tissue and there act as a buffer under pressure.
The versatile tasks of MSM
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is an organic sulphur and occurs naturally in the body. Unfortunately, the amount of sulphur in the organism decreases with advancing age. Sulphur can be found in every single cell of our body, because it is a crucial building material of the connective tissue. It is essential for the health and formation of cartilages, skin, nails and hair. Additionally, it is involved in the generation of enzymes, immunocompetent cells, glutathione (an antioxidant) and amino acids.
Hyaluronic acid: buffer and lubricant
Hyaluronic acid in the synovial fluid is a lubricant during all joint movements. If we compare the joints in the human body with a car, the hyaluronic acid in the joints can be equated with the oil in the engine. The oil has to be change on a regular basis, because heat, combustion residues, friction and oil aging decrease its viscosity. The oil becomes thinner and is not able to protect the metal surfaces or to lubricate the engine anymore.
Hyaluronic acid fulfils the same task in our joints. If it is not renewed regularly, it loses its viscosity, becomes thinner and it not able to cushion the pressure load of the joint, which eventually leads to an increased friction or degeneration of the cartilage surfaces.
What is astaxanthin?
Astaxanthin is regarded as the strongest known plant-based antioxidant in the world. It is derived from the fresh-water microalga Haematococcus pluvalis, which is especially rich in the fat-soluble carotenoid.
