Echinacea 400mg - 90 capsules

According to TCM, echinacea is diaphoretic and refreshing

Botanical: Echinacea purpurea
Sanskrit: Kariyat
English: purple coneflower, coneflower

The name echinacea comes from the Greek word echinos (= hedgehog). It describes the resemblance of the spiky, curved receptacle to a hedgehog.

Where does echinacea come from?

Echinacea has been known in the Native American health care for centuries. The Native American tribes in Nebraska and Missouri (Sioux, Omaha, Oto, Kew, Osage and others) used the plant, for example, for numerous everyday misfortunes. In the 20s, the interest and demand in Europe was so high that seeds had to be imported from America, because the plant was to be cultivated and researched here as well. At that time, only fresh blooming plants, including their roots, of Echinacea angustifolia were used. Due to a mistake, not the ordered seeds of Echinacea angustifolia arrived in Europe, but the seeds of Echinacea purpurea. That is why we have the most experiences with this plant.
