What is Kelp?
Kelp is a brown alga from the Atlantic Ocean containing numerous vital substances such as vitamin B2, niacin, choline, carotene, alginic acid, iodine, calcium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, magnesium, sulphur, copper, zinc und manganese.
Function of iodine
Iodine supports the function of the thyroid, which is responsible for the basic metabolism of the body with its hormones T3 and T4.
Furthermore, iodine is essential for the normal functioning of the skin, cognitive functions (e.g. memory), energy metabolism and the nervous system.
Kelp: natural source of iodine
The kelp extract contained in this product is standardised to 0.15% iodine. One tablet contains 150µg iodine, which meets 100% of the daily requirement of adults and children from the age of 12.
