Fairvital Lutein Complex combines a high-quality marigold flower extract with the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin and selected vitamins and plant substances. Each film-coated tablet contains 44 mg of lutein and 5.5 mg of zeaxanthin as well as vitamin A, vitamin B12, beta-carotene and black pepper extract. This versatile composition offers a practical way of specifically supplementing the daily diet.
Lutein and zeaxanthin from marigold flowers: Lutein and zeaxanthin belong to the carotenoid group and occur naturally in various plants. For Fairvital Lutein Complex, a concentrated extract from the flowers of the marigold (Tagetes erecta) is used. This provides 44 mg of lutein and 5.5 mg of zeaxanthin per film-coated tablet in a clearly defined composition.
Vitamin A for normal vision: Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal vision and to the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes. Each film-coated tablet contains 10,000 I.U. of vitamin A. The formula is supplemented by 11 mg of beta-carotene, a natural plant pigment from the carotenoid group.
Vitamin B12 and energy-yielding metabolism: With 700 µg of vitamin B12 per film-coated tablet, the formula contains a high-strength supplement of this essential vitamin. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the normal functioning of the nervous system. It is present in the form of methylcobalamin.
Supplemented with black pepper extract: The balanced combination is rounded off by 2.1 mg of black pepper extract, of which 2 mg is piperine. Piperine is a natural component of black pepper and adds another selected plant substance to the formula.
The vegan film-coated tablets are free from gluten, lactose and fructose and are manufactured in Germany to high quality and hygiene standards. With 120 film-coated tablets per pack, the product offers a practical supply for regular food supplementation.
Fairvital Lutein Complex gives you a versatile combination of lutein, zeaxanthin, vitamin A, vitamin B12, beta-carotene and piperine. This high-strength formula brings together selected vitamins and plant substances in a practical vegan film-coated tablet.

The Lutein Complex is particularly suitable for anyone who strains their eyes heavily in everyday life, spends a lot of time in front of screens or regularly does concentrated visual work. Also for people who value their vision as they get older and consciously want to supplement their eye care with selected plant substances and vitamins. The 120 easy-to-swallow film-coated tablets offer a practical supply for straightforward and regular supplementation in everyday life.

Lutein and zeaxanthin belong to the group of carotenoids and are natural plant pigments found mainly in green leafy vegetables, maize and various flowers. Their significance for the human eye is particularly interesting: both substances are natural components of the macula, also known as the yellow spot. This small area of the retina is responsible for particularly sharp and detailed vision. Together, lutein and zeaxanthin form what is known as the macular pigment, which gives the macula its characteristic yellowish colour.
A special feature of lutein is its natural origin from the marigold flower (Tagetes erecta). The bright yellow to orange flowers of the marigold naturally contain various carotenoids and are often used to obtain lutein. While lutein is found particularly in the outer areas of the macula, zeaxanthin is more concentrated in the centre. The human body cannot produce either of these plant substances itself, so they must be obtained through the diet.
Beta-carotene is also a carotenoid and is responsible for the orange colour of many fruits and vegetables. It is best known from carrots, sweet potatoes and pumpkin. Beta-carotene is one of the provitamin A carotenoids, as the body can convert it into vitamin A when needed. Vitamin A is particularly known for its role in normal vision and also contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes.
The combination is completed by vitamin B12, which is important for, among other things, the normal function of the nervous system and energy metabolism. A special feature of vitamin B12 is that it occurs naturally almost exclusively in foods of animal origin such as meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. In the Lutein Complex, it is present as methylcobalamin, a biologically active form of the vitamin.
Another component is piperine, a natural plant substance from black pepper (Piper nigrum). Piperine belongs to the alkaloids and is largely responsible for the characteristic pungency of pepper. As lutein, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene are fat-soluble carotenoids, the composition of a meal plays a role in their absorption. The combination with a little dietary fat in particular can promote the absorption of these plant substances in the intestine.
