Description
Echinacea 400mg - 90 Capsules
Sanskrit: Kariyat
German: Rotsonnenhut
The name Echinacea is derived from the Greek word echinos (= hedgehog). It expresses the resemblance of the prickly, arching base of the flower to a hedgehog.
Where does Echinacea come from?
Echinacea has been known in American public health for centuries. For example, the Native American tribes of Nebraska and Missouri (Sioux, Omaha, Oto, Kew, Osage, and others) used the plant for a variety of everyday mishaps. In the 1920s, interest and demand in Europe were so great that seeds were imported from America. The plant should also be cultivated and researched here. Up to this point, only the fresh flowering plants, including the roots, of Echinacea angustifolia had been used. As a result of a mix-up, however, it was not the Echinacea angustifolia seed that was ordered that made it to Europe, but the Echinacea purpurea seed. As a result, there is the most experience with the plant here.
Echinacea according to TCM:
