Milk thistle seeds and silymarin
Milk thistle (Silybum marianum), also known as women's thistle, has been valued in public health for countless years. Milk thistle is particularly characterized by its high content of silymarin, the most important ingredient in milk thistle seeds.
Silymarin
The active ingredient in milk thistle is silymarin. This is a mixture of different botanicals that include silicristin, silidianin, silibinin A and B, and isosilibinin A and B. Silibinin is the substance with the main effect.

Einem 74 järigen Bekannten hat...
Einem 74 järigen Bekannten hatte ich Mariendistel empfohlen. Nach 4 Wochen lagen seine vormals schlechten Leberwerte im gesunden Bereich und sein Arzt wunderte sich. Mariendistel hat eine sehr gut dokumentierte Pharmakologie (Zit. Prof. Fintelmann), vergleicht man das Präparat hier, war die gleiche Wirkstoffkonzentration in der Apotheke doppelt so teuer!
